Can Dogs Eat Bok Choy?
Why it’s fine
Bok choy is one of the gentlest cruciferous vegetables, offering vitamins A, C and K with very few calories. Its isothiocyanate content is lower than broccoli’s, so gas is less of a problem, though huge raw amounts still are not ideal for the thyroid.
How to serve it safely
Chop raw leaves thinly or steam them plain, and add a small handful to food. No oil, salt or garlic seasoning.
When to call the vet
If large amounts cause bloating or diarrhea that lasts beyond a day, check with your vet.
Common questions
Can dogs eat raw bok choy?
Yes, chopped small. Steaming makes it even easier to digest for sensitive stomachs.
Is baby bok choy different?
It is the same vegetable, younger and milder — equally safe.
